Norpro Nut Crackers 576 Editorial Review
The Norpro NutTopping Chopper, while having a glass bottom and stainless steel blades, disappointed some customers who found that the tines bent too easily when attempting to crush hard nuts like almonds, causing it to jam. The chopper's blades are more suitable for soft nuts. The plastic top portion is recommended to be hand-washed, although some have had success with top-shelf dishwasher cleaning. The product also isn't suitable for grinding dried herbs, while some users found that it turned their walnuts into powder instead of pieces. On a positive note, the chopper does come apart for easy washing, and the glass collector has an approximate diameter of 3 ¼ inches at the base and 2 5/8 inches at the top.
