Learning Resources Science Kits Editorial Review
The Learning Resources Numberblocks Wooden Building Blocks Activity Set captivates both children and parents alike with its vibrant colors and educational value. Designed for children aged three and above, this set has been praised for transforming learning into an engaging and enjoyable activity, particularly for fans of the Numberblocks series. The blocks serve not only as a playful stacking toy but also as an interactive tool for teaching early mathematics. The quality is notably high, with smooth wooden blocks that are both durable and safe for little hands. The set encourages creativity, allowing children to build a variety of shapes and engage with color sorting and counting exercises. Parents appreciate the additional resources in the form of thick, glossy activity sheets that provide structured play around arithmetic, from simple addition to more complex shape building, making the learning experience rich and varied. While the price may seem steep at over £28 for some, it is viewed as appropriate by those who can utilize it across several children or for educational settings. The enjoyable nature of play with these blocks—akin to a real-life Tetris—facilitates not only mathematical skills but also fine motor development and spatial awareness. Overall, the Learning Resources Numberblocks Wooden Building Blocks Activity Set is heralded as a great investment for early childhood education, encouraging cognitive growth while being fun and interactive. Parents recommend it highly for its educational benefits and the joy it brings to learning through play. **
